Isaiah 12:3 says, “Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”
Isaiah 61:3 says Jesus gives us “the oil of joy for mourning” and “the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”
Zephaniah 3:17 reminds us that God rejoices over us with singing.

When Jesus saved you, He did not leave you empty. He placed a well within you. There is joy in that well. There is life in that well. There is strength in that well. But like the old hand pumps, sometimes you have to prime the pump. Sometimes you have to draw. Sometimes you have to stir up what God has already placed inside you!

That may mean worshiping before you feel like it; laughing by faith before the heaviness lifts; praising God in the middle of the storm; and speaking life when it looks impossible!

But as you draw from that well, joy begins to rise!

True joy is found in Jesus! He is the one who turns mourning into gladness, heaviness into praise, and will give you beauty for ashes!

You do not have to live crabby, burdened, negative, and spiritually drained. In Christ, there is joy for you! There is strength! There is refreshing!.

So draw from the well again!

Reflection Questions:
What needs to change in your attitude, words, or responses?
How can you intentionally draw from the joy of your salvation every day?

The joy of the Lord is still your strength. Jesus has not left you empty. There is a well of joy within you, and by faith you can draw from it again and again.
