Joy is found in the presence of God!

Psalm 16:11 says, “In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”*

Not partial joy. Not occasional joy. **Fullness of joy.**

That means real joy is not something we have to force or fake. It flows from being near Jesus. The closer we stay to Him, the more we remember who He is, who we are, and what really matters.

The world tries to find joy in success, entertainment, or distractions. But none of those things can produce what the presence of God provides. His presence steadies the heart. His presence quiets fear. His presence restores perspective. His presence lifts heaviness.

This is why it matters so much to get into God’s Word, spend time in worship, pray, and gather with other believers. Every one of those things helps draw us into His presence. And in His presence, joy begins to rise again.

If your heart has felt tired lately, the answer is not simply to push harder. It may be to come closer. Slow down. Worship again. Open your Bible again. Sit with the Lord again. Joy will meet you there.

Reflection Questions:

Have you been making room for God’s presence in your daily life?
What distractions have been crowding out time with Him?
How do you feel when you truly spend time in worship and the Word?

You are never far from the presence of God. Turn your heart toward Him today, and let His joy fill the places that heaviness has tried to claim.
