Jesus said in John 6:63:
“The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”
The Word of God is not just information. It is alive.
Hebrews 4:12 says it is living and powerful — sharper than a two-edged sword.
When you read Scripture, you’re receiving living seed. You’re taking in spiritual life.
Just as natural food nourishes your body, God’s Word nourishes your spirit
And here’s something beautiful:
When a seed goes into the ground, it “dies” before it produces life (John 12:24). In the same way, when we die to self — surrendering pride, fear, or control — the Word can truly flourish in us.
When we humble ourselves, Jesus — the Word made flesh — is manifested in our lives.
There is eternal life in that seed.
Reflection Questions:
1. Am I consuming God’s Word daily?
2. Where do I need to surrender so the Word can grow in me?
3. What area of my life needs the life of God’s Word right now?
If you feel spiritually dry, go back to the Word. Not out of obligation — but for nourishment. The same voice that spoke light into darkness still speaks life into weary hearts through His living word!! Eat daily. Live fully.
